We correct factual errors in the open and keep a record of the change. If you find a problem or a stronger primary source, send us a correction request.

 

## Request a correction

 

Email [corrections@chalklens.org](mailto:corrections@chalklens.org) or [contact@chalklens.org](mailto:contact@chalklens.org). Use the subject line **Correction Request: [URL or article title]** and include:

 

- The article URL.
- The sentence, table cell, or figure in question.
- A short description of the problem.
- A link or attachment for the supporting source.

 

## How we label changes

 

- **Correction:** A factual, attribution, or calculation error. We update the material and add a dated note.
- **Clarification:** The figure is right, but the wording could mislead readers.
- **Update:** A newer source adds information or replaces an estimate without proving the old figure false.
- **Minor typographical fix:** A spelling or grammar change that leaves the meaning intact.

 

We don’t silently rewrite substantive errors.
