Corrections Policy

We correct factual errors in the open and keep a record of the change. If you find a problem or a stronger primary source, send us a correction request.

Request a correction

Email corrections@chalklens.org or contact@chalklens.org. Use the subject line Correction Request: [URL or article title] and include:

  • The article URL.
  • The sentence, table cell, or figure in question.
  • A short description of the problem.
  • A link or attachment for the supporting source.

How we label changes

  • Correction: A factual, attribution, or calculation error. We update the material and add a dated note.
  • Clarification: The figure is right, but the wording could mislead readers.
  • Update: A newer source adds information or replaces an estimate without proving the old figure false.
  • Minor typographical fix: A spelling or grammar change that leaves the meaning intact.

We don’t silently rewrite substantive errors.
